SUBJECT: 9612 - 12-Volt Air Compressor
9603 - 12-Volt Air Compressor Kit
Onspot
recently began using a different air compressor in the 12-volt air compressor
kit. This new compressor is slightly larger in size than its predecessor the
9012 compressor. As a replacement, the 9612 compressor will utilize larger mounting plate included in
the kit as well as larger supply wire and electrical connectors. The current
draw increases from 10 amps to 16 amps. This more robust air compressor has an
increased CFM from .35 to .62. As a replacement part, the 9612 compressor will include the
required components to exchange the original compressor (9012) to the new one as
well as an illustrated instruction sheet.
The new part number 9603 12-Volt Air Compressor Kit will come complete with everything as the original 9001-MB kit. The 9603 kit includes the 9612 12-Volt Air Compressor, larger mounting plate, 12 gauge GXL wire, 12 gauge electrical fittings, 20 amp fuse link, pressure switch, air fittings, air tank with mounting brackets, and all related hardware. A compressor housing Part Number 9605 will also be available as an option. As in the past the compressor MUST be mounted IN the vehicle, under the hood, in a compartment, behind the seat, etc.
