SUBJECT: Chainwheel Helmet

In response to customer input Onspot has developed a new chain wheel helmet for the adjustable Onspot chain sets as well as continued use on the standard Onspot arms. The new helmet is much more durable than the previous helmet. The cross section is thicker, and has a larger "skirt" to help reinforce the helmet from impact. The center hub is steel, permanently molded inside the helmet at time of manufacturing. The helmet requires no spacer when used with the adjustable chainwheel bolt, but does require a standard chainwheel spacer(supplied) be inserted in the center hub when used on a standard chainwheel bolt. This makes the new helmet the same thickness as the original helmet.. DO NOT insert a chainwheel spacer into the center hub when using on an adjustable chainwheel bolt. The two uprights on either side of the arm help protect the area between the chainwheel and arm from catching obstructions. When used with the adjustable chainwheel bolt, angle adjustment is still available as necessary. Illustration of application is as follows.
